A School Too Rare to Outgrow
The International School of Arizona (ISA) is building the next chapter of a rare kind of school—one where children don't have to choose between multilingual mastery and a fuller, more dynamic student experience. For over 27 years, we have built something that does not exist anywhere else in the region: a genuine, full-immersion multilingual education delivered from 18 months through 8th grade.
ISA is at a strategic inflection point. This capital campaign is not just about a building; it is about ending the "false tradeoff" families often face as their children reach middle school. We are evolving to ensure ISA becomes the defining international school in Arizona—a destination school that reflects the ambition, excellence, and global mindset of our students and the rapidly growing Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area.
Phase One: A Gymnasium & Central Park
Phase 1 of our "Blueprints for Brilliance" campaign focuses on creating the heart of our campus. While this phase funds facilities, its true purpose is to create the pipeline for student success, school spirit, and community belonging. Construction is scheduled to begin as early as January 2027.
Building the Destination
Currently, ISA lacks a large indoor gathering space. Physical education relies on outside vendors, and school-wide assemblies compete for inadequate space. Phase 1 transforms this reality by delivering:
-
A Full-Size Gymnasium: A dedicated space for physical education, competitive athletics, assemblies, and performing arts.
-
ISA Central Park: A new outdoor green space designed for play, exploration, and community gathering.
-
Athletics Program: The launch of ISA’s own athletic teams, giving students the competitive experience and sense of identity that keeps families enrolled through 8th grade.
-
Community Space: A hub for school-wide celebrations that will outlast a single generation.
At most schools, families choose between strong athletics and serious language development. This campaign ends that choice. ISA students will build fluency and competitive confidence in the same building, on the same campus, without ever leaving their immersion environment.

Phase Two: Reimagining the Third Floor
ISA’s third floor is ready for transformation. Originally designed for offices, this space will be redesigned into bright, functional classrooms and collaborative learning environments that serve our growing student population.
Planned renovations include:
-
Larger, Modern Classrooms - Designed around best practices in education.
-
Dedicated Specialty Rooms - Innovation labs, art spaces, and collaborative areas.
-
Increased Capacity - Allowing ISA to welcome more students into our language immersion programs.
This renovation ensures that our entire campus matches the standard of excellence ISA is known for.
Why Now
ISA is growing. More and more families are seeking the exceptional multilingual education we offer. But growth requires space - and excellence requires investment. These projects are essential steps to meet the needs of current and future students.
