Ana Molinar, Spanish Kindergarten Assistant
Ana was born and raised in Mexico City. She moved to Arizona 16 years ago and recently became a proud citizen. She has 10 years of experience working with children. She started working in Arizona as an interpreter for Language Line Services. In 2015, she came back to ISA, after having worked at the Austin Center for Exceptional Students as a T.A with children on the Autism Spectrum.
Tere Nava, Spanish A Teacher
Ms. Nava is from Mexico City and has a Bachelor’s and post-graduate degree from Mexico. She also has a Child Development associate degree from Paradise Valley Community College. She joined ISA in 2012.
Esmeralda Carrillo, Spanish B Teacher
Ms. Carrillo is originally from San Diego, California. She grew up in Mexico and the United States. Ms. Carrillo speaks English and Spanish and started at ISA in 2014.
Mara Uribe, Spanish PK Teacher
Mara Uribe is a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. She has a bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in Spanish and is a certified secondary education teacher through the State of Arizona. Ms. Uribe has over three years of teaching experience and has been working at ISA since 2013.
Edlin Orozco-Perez, Spanish A Assistant
Edlin Orozco-Perez is originally from Los Angeles, California and has experience working with children ages 2-10 through child care and as a child photographer. Ms. Perez speaks English and Spanish and started at ISA in 2013.
Leticia Buendia, Spanish Kindergarten Teacher
Leticia Buendia is a native Spanish speaker from Spain. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Murcia in Spain. She speaks Spanish and English and has over four years of working experience with children. Mrs. Buendia has been working at ISA since 2013.
Maria Mercedes Villamizar, Spanish First Grade Teacher
Ms. Villamizar has been teaching since 1992 and has experience in both preschool and elementary school. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Javeriana in Bogota, Columbia and is a certified elementary teacher through the Colombia Ministry of Education. She received training in learning disabilities from the University of Norte in Barranquilla, Columbia and completed Language and Culture training in Spain through the Spanish Ministry of Education. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in bilingual education. Ms. Villamizar has taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grades, and has been at ISA since 2009.
Tamara Padrino Moreno, Spanish Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Padrino is from Madrid and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in English as a Second Language, both from Universidad Villanueva (U. Complutense de Madrid). She has over seven years of experience and has taught first through fifth grades before coming to ISA in 2011. She speaks Spanish and English.
Sofia Rodriguez, Spanish Third Grade Teacher
Sofia Rodriguez is a native Spanish speaker originally from Colombia. She holds an Arizona Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education, specializing in Mathematics. Mrs. Rodriguez obtained her teacher training from the Universidad Industrial de Santander. She has been teaching since 1995 and has taught all grade levels from pre-school through High School. Mrs. Rodriguez has been working at ISA since 2013.
Angel Vitores, Spanish Fourth Grade Teacher, Spanish Coordinator
Mr. Vitores is a native of Pamplona, Spain. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Pontifical University in Salamanca, and a Bachelor’s and Master Degree in Education from University of Navarra. He speaks Spanish and English and has taught children from 7 to 12 years old, for over five years. He has also worked with special needs children. Mr. Vitores joined ISA in 2014.
Diego Cabrera, Spanish Fifth Grade Teacher
Mr. Cabrera is from Venezuela with a Bachelor of Education Degree Major in English from Universidad de Carabobo and an Associate’s degree in Teaching Children with Special Needs from Universidad Latino-Americana del Caribe. Over the last 8 years, he has worked in various centers with children from 10 months old to 12 years old, both in the classroom and swimming programs.
