Delia Stirk, Spanish PK1-2
Ms. Stirk has been working with children for most of her life, including volunteering with children in immigrant communities, and teaching Kindergarten and directing a children’s ministry in Mexico. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the Instituto Tecnologico de Sonora and an Associate’s from Glendale Community College. She has been part of the ISA team since 2016, where she started as a substitute. She is proud to support the school’s philosophy and learning vision.
Noelia Gomez, Spanish PK1-2 Assistant
Mrs. Gomez is from Spain. She holds a university degree in nursing. She has worked as nurse with children in Spain and has collaborated in educational talks in school and institutes. She recently arrived in Arizona this year and speaks Spanish and a little English.
Tere Nava, Spanish PK2
Ms. Nava is from Mexico City and has a Bachelor’s and post-graduate degree from Mexico. She also has a Child Development associate degree from Paradise Valley Community College. She joined ISA in 2012.
Mrs. Alvarez is a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. She speaks English and Spanish and has twelve years of childcare experience. Mrs. Alvarez started at ISA in 2009. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and CDA in Child Development.
Esmeralda Carrillo, Spanish PK3
Ms. Carrillo is originally from San Diego, California. She grew up in Mexico and the United States. Ms. Carrillo speaks English and Spanish and started at ISA in 2014.
Marcela Quispe-Montero, Spanish PK3 Assistant
Mara Uribe, Spanish PK4
Mara Uribe is a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. She has a bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in Spanish and is a certified secondary education teacher through the State of Arizona. Ms. Uribe has over three years of teaching experience and has been working at ISA since 2013.
Edlin Orozco-Perez, Spanish PK4 Assistant
Edlin Orozco-Perez is originally from Los Angeles, California and has experience working with children ages 2-10 through child care and as a child photographer. Ms. Perez speaks English and Spanish and started at ISA in 2013.
Yela Cordova, Spanish Kindergarten
Ms. Cordova is from Spain, and has taught since 2001 in Peru, Spain, and Malta. She holds a degree in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, she has done postgraduate work in Psychomotricity at the University of Salamanca, a Master's in Integrated Teaching of the English Language and Contents: Infant and Primary Education from the University of Oviedo, and is currently finishing a doctorate at the University of Oviedo.
Ana Molinar, Spanish Kindergarten Assistant
Ana was born and raised in Mexico City. She moved to Arizona 16 years ago and recently became a proud citizen. She has 10 years of experience working with children. She started working in Arizona as an interpreter for Language Line Services. In 2015, she came back to ISA, after having worked at the Austin Center for Exceptional Students as a T.A with children on the Autism Spectrum.
Maria Mercedes Villamizar, Spanish Grade 1
Ms. Villamizar has been teaching since 1992 and has experience in both preschool and elementary school. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Javeriana in Bogota, Columbia and is a certified elementary teacher through the Colombia Ministry of Education. She received training in learning disabilities from the University of Norte in Barranquilla, Columbia and completed Language and Culture training in Spain through the Spanish Ministry of Education. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in bilingual education. Ms. Villamizar has taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grades, and has been at ISA since 2009.
Tamara Padrino Moreno, Spanish Grade 2
Mrs. Padrino is from Madrid and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in English as a Second Language, both from Universidad Villanueva (U. Complutense de Madrid). She has over seven years of experience and has taught first through fifth grades before coming to ISA in 2011. She speaks Spanish and English.
Irma Gonzalez, Spanish Grade 3
Mrs. González has over 10 years of teaching experience. Seven in Guadalajara, Jalisco México and five years in Elgin, IL. She has taught in preschool, elementary and middle school. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Normal Superior School of Jalisco and a Master’s in Education from Secretaría de Educación Pública.
Amalia Spero, Spanish Grade 4
Amalia has been an educator since 2000. She has taught English as well as Spanish as a second language from elementary to university levels. She holds a 1-8 teaching certificate with Structured English Immersion endorsement, and a 6-12 certificate with a Spanish focus. She also holds a B.S.E in Industrial Engineering as well as a Master’s in Organizational Development. She has been teaching online since 2017.
Yunely Loaisiga, Spanish Grade 5
Yunely Loaisiga is from Managua, Nicaragua. She holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction in bilingual education from Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton Teacher's College. She is also in the process of obtaining her teaching certificate. Yunely has ten years of teaching experience in a broad range of grade levels. She speaks Spanish, English, and French.
Celia Diaz, Spanish Middle School
Ms. Díaz is a native Spanish speaker from Spain. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature, a Master’s degree in Education in Middle and High School and a Master’s degree in Spanish as a Second Language. Ms. Diaz has over three years of teaching experience and has started to work at ISA this year.
