The term Soiree, comes from the French term which means an evening party or gathering, typically in a private house, for conversation or music. At ISA, we host an annual Soirée.
Our Soiree, is a festive event held each year at an off-campus venue for the entire school community. Staff, parents and family friends all attend for the community ambience, fun, food and music. The Soiree is organized by parent volunteers, who galvanize community support. It is also a major fundraising opportunity for the community to demonstrate their support for ISA’s future strategic plan.
Our Soiree is very special. Teachers organize, design and work with the students to create impressive class art projects, which form the basis of the most energetic auction bidding of the evening! Every parent wants to outbid the others in the class for that magnificent piece of future nostalgia.
In addition, community members go out and source outstanding and valuable auction items from many vendors in the Valley. These items are put on display in our Silent Auction. Soiree attendees can bid on amazing items such as Hot-Air balloon rides, a ride in a World War II U.S. Navy N2S Biplane, weekend getaways, spas, wine and food and wine baskets and much, much more!
The best way to support this community effort is to attend the Soiree … and bid high!
As with the Annual Fund, proceeds from the Soirée are earmarked for special educational and/or capital projects for the school.
Our last Soiree took place at the Harley Davidson dealership. Many dressed up in their best “Harley garb” and enjoyed taking photos seated on Harleys in the showroom. Everyone enjoyed the food, drink, music, and comraderie. The highlight of the event was the opportunity to demonstrate the passion and promise of ISA through the financial donations of our community. Funds were raised through a Silent auction, ISAYes! Campaign pledges and the auction of a parking spot at our new campus.
We hope you will celebrate and donate with us at our next Soiree and throughout the year.
