CAREERS
We are always looking for motivated and dedicated personnel who love to make a difference in the lives of children, their school, and their community.
Faculty
The school is continually seeking motivated Teachers and Teaching Assistants with foreign language literacy and fluency. Candidates for the position of Teacher must have an appropriate certification for consideration. In order to ensure the continued success of our school, candidates must be willing to go above and beyond classroom duties and to assist in various functions outside of the classroom. Examples of non-academic requirements might include such duties as serving the lunches, sanitizing the toys, and/or attending an occasional Saturday work party.
Why Teach at the ISA?
Innovative Curricula
The nature of our educational programs present unique opportunities for teachers. Our strong French program, based on the French Ministry of Education, combines the strength of French academics with pragmatic American methodology. As other language programs are gaining momentum, we now offer a truly international focus and exposure to a diverse range of styles, methods, and curricula.
Language Immersion
Contribute to the language development of non-native speakers in an immersion environment. In our increasingly global world, these valuable teaching skills are widely applicable in Arizona, the US, and abroad.
Freedom to Implement Best Practices
As a private school, our funding is based on the strength of our academic, extracurricular, and social environment, and not upon state requirements such as AIMS test scores or English-only policies. Our accountability is solely to our parents and community, and we are judged by the kind and quality of education we provide our students.
Highly Supportive Parents
Parents are our biggest fans! ISA families as well as teachers realize that they are integral to the success of the school. While parents are required to volunteer 20 hours per year of service to the mission and goals of the school, many enthusiastically serve greater roles. It is not uncommon to see parents assisting in a classroom, serving lunches, or improving the playground. Generally, our parents have specifically sought out and carefully researched our program and tend to be very supportive of our teachers, our school, and our mission.
Live, Play and Work in the Valley of the Sun
The fifth largest city in America, Phoenix and the surrounding area offers residents and visitors the finest in arts and culture, world-class resorts and leisure activities, and a thriving high-tech industry. Bordering Phoenix, the ISA is located in Scottsdale, which was voted the Most Livable City by the U.S. Conference of Mayors in 1993. The city of Scottsdale is consistently rated among the top cities in which to raise children and in which to retire, and has been rated the number one resort community in America.
Dedicated, enthusiastic candidates may email a resume/letter of interest to careers@isaz.org RE 'Academic'.
Staff
In addition to teachers, we appreciate hearing from any candidate who is motivated, hard-working, and genuinely interested in the fundamental goals of the International School of Arizona. For non-academic positions, please see our list of current openings and email your resume/letter of interest to careers@isaz.org RE 'Staff.'
