Michelle Borie, M.Ed.Mrs. Borie leads the ISA Leadership Team, faculty and administrative staff and has nine years of experience in school administration at the International School of Arizona. She joined the ISA team in 2002, has served in an executive position since 2006 and has been a part of the school community since 1999. She holds a master’s of education in educational administration and supervision, a BS in business management, a minor in French, and a Certificate in international business, all from Arizona State University. Mrs. Borie’s experiences prior to working as a school administrator were in the banking and computer industries. She is raising her three children to be trilingual.
Veronique BevaliMs. Bevali leads the department chairs at ISA and coordinates the integration of curriculum from the United States, France and Spain. She has sixteen years of teaching experience at the primary, secondary, and college levels. With a bachelor’s degree in classic Italian and Latin, an associate degree in history, and a minor in philosophy from the University of Aix-Marseille, France, Ms Bevali is also a certified secondary education teacher through the French Ministry of National Education. She is a certified translator/interpreter and has a long history of working with student exchange programs and providing intense language training at high- ranking high schools in France as well as through other private companies. Ms Bevali worked at the Berlitz Language School prior to coming to ISA in 2004. She has taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades at the elementary school level as well as secondary education students ranging in age from 12-18. Since coming to ISA, Ms Bevali has been working to build and harmonize the curriculum in ISA’s Elementary program as well as to prepare ISA’s graduates to transition into elementary and middle school programs around the world.
Jacqueline PalmenbergMs. Palmenberg holds a Bachelor’s of Psychology and Master’s of Sociology, and has been in the development profession for decades. She achieved the Certified Fund Raising Professional designation in 2002. Ms. Palmenberg is responsible for fund raising at ISA, and works closely with the Parents Association, the annual SOIREE Committee, and the Building Committee. She joined ISA in 2011.
Catherine ThillierMrs. Thillier leads the ISA French track teaching staff. She has twelve years of teaching experience and five years of experience in administration and management of school activities. She joined the ISA team in 2008 when her husband was transferred to work in the Phoenix area. She has a BA in education from the University of Chartres, France and is a certified primary teacher through the French Ministry of National Education. Ms Thillier was a primary school principal prior to coming to ISA. She has taught kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades. She has focused strongly on teaching in multilevel class groupings, especially in first and second grades. She is raising her two children to be trilingual.
Ms. Villamizar leads the ISA Spanish track teaching staff and has seventeen years of teaching experience in both preschool and elementary school. She has a BA in education from the University of Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia and is a certified elementary teacher through the Colombian Ministry of Education. She received training in learning disabilities from the University of Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia and completed a Language and Culture training in Spain during the summer 2010 through the Spanish Ministry of Education. Ms Villamizar worked as a preschool coordinator at the Santa Marta Bilingual School in Santa Marta, Colombia prior to coming to ISA in 2009. She has taught kindergarten, first, second and third grades.
Tammy Iles-CremieuxMrs. Iles Cremieux leads the ISA English Program teaching staff and has five years of teaching experience in elementary and middle school. She has a BA in English from Arizona State University and is a certified secondary teacher through the state of Arizona. Mrs. Iles Cremieux is working toward becoming a certified Spalding teacher. Mrs. Iles Cremieux worked at a public middle school in Tucson prior to coming to ISA in 2008. She has taught pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh grades. She is raising her two children to be bilingual.
Lin FleetwoodLin Fleetwood is responsible for technology and facility issues. He is from Bermuda, speaks English and Spanish and spent his primary school years in an immersion program. Mr. Fleetwood has been working at ISA since 2006.
Sharon BrownSharon Brown is responsible for student enrollment for school and extra-curricular programs. She is from Northern Ireland, studied French in High School and has lived in four countries. Mrs. Brown has been working at ISA since 2009.
Teresa ChrispellTeresa Chrispell is responsible for Accounting and Human Resources. She has over 30 years experience in these areas, working in many large corporations in Michigan as well as owning a business. She has an Associate's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences. Mrs. Chrispell has been working at ISA since 2010.
Terri PierceallTerri Pierceall is responsible for the school hot lunch program and cafeteria. She has been working at ISA since 2008.
Sharon Willocks is responsible for general administrative duties and school reception. She is from the U.S. but grew up in Korea, studied five languages, and has traveled extensively around the world. Ms. Willocks has been working at ISA since 2011.
